Ok so I have my 93 x hooked into a HUGE HHO cell, well not now; for now. I made one cell that could produce enough HHO to make a difference, however, heres the horror story.

I drive about 20 mins one way in city traffic to get my wife from work. I hooked up the new unit after testing off the truck. Produced 1.5lpm using Koh, turned it on, drove to get her. On the way to get her, my truck started acting really bad! Oil started to run hot, rad started to run hot, battery started to drop volts. This is all with the Maf enhancer taken off. So my next trip I turned on the maf enhancer, hoo boy, even worse, i leaned off the gas very little not to over whelm the motor, yeah boy, wrong idea. Trying to die at the red lights, had no umph when hitting the gas, again, bad idea.

All of now, everything wire back to normal and have it all off, and now my mpg is ****. Before HHO i was getting 15 mpg, lucky now if i get 10 mpg!!! Something went way wrong!!!! I was doing ok with small units, however not this big unit!!

Bill told me to replace the o2 sensors, that since im finding out everything on the x is orig from 93, that they might be burned up and no good

O2 sensors get "lazy" after a while, and don't respond the way that they should when they get old (like some people). They don't always throw a code unless they are way out of spec.

I think that what actually happens is that they slowly become contaminated and it causes them to respond more slowly. My Toyota truck manual had a test where you counted the number of times they "switched" (went below and above stochiometric) within a certain time period (8 times in 30 sec, IIRC).

Re on the HHO: If it continues to run bad, I would check compression - you could have burned a valve or a piston. Hopefully not, but you should rule that out.

i know right now its all been taken off (well disconcerted) there was a slight ticking/clicking before i ever started the HHO witch hunt, there was a tick/click, and the person at pepboys said it sounded like a "lifter" wtf is a lifter? and now its ticking/clicking MORE

All of your fuel injectors "click" as they cycle. What many people think is a problem is normal on these motors.

yeah mine is, it clicks REALLY LOUD at start and in the cold, once you press the gas a few times, or while pressing the gas, it doesnt make that noise no more til you let off the gas

check all of you vacuum lines.

Yeah, that sounds like the lifters losing pressure and having to pump up to get get the valve lash where it should be.
