Hi all, new to this site, Love my explorer want to get into serious offroading thought maybe some of you could share your experiences!!!

There are plenty of offroaders here. But unfortunately if you're looking to get into some serious offroading the 2004 isn't going to be much help... Ford designed the suspension on 3rd generation Explorers (2002-2005) to be used on pavement pretty much

That really sucks, why did they do that? It's kinda depressing, I've taken her out to the country, back roads and what not...I guess she's doomed to a life of boredom then...Why did Ford have to mess up a good thing....!

welcome to the group.... the 04 as though its not meant for offroading.. it it still a really nice truck, my bfs mom has one and its such a nice comfy ride... with a fair amount of balls in that engine!! so enjoy it.. maybe u can buy a cheapo junker to wheel the hell out of!! this way when you break stuff ur not so upset..

ya i rode in my bfs moms the other day and i was sad cuz i remebered how mine was when i first got her... of cource i messed her all up... acceleration sucks now... my suspension is screwed.... but ya thier 04 is a beautiful ride and really does have some balls... especially for a 6cyl... ahh.. o well..!!! guess since shes so bad ill just have to wheel her to death!! lol :silly
