New to the forum! Well i just bought a 2008 IronMan 4.0l v.6 Explorer. Still deciding on what to name her. (I like to name my vehicles.) My last vehicle was a lifted F150 but I figured since i am in college I need something a little more practical. So far I love this truck.

the only mods i plan on doing to the truck in the near future will be tinting the front 2 windows and get floor liners(weather tech, husky liners, etc.). In the future i would like to get some rims for it but for right now I like the way it looks.

If anyone has any advice as to a certain brand of floor liners or how dark to tint the windows; feel free to give your opinion.

I love the color combo, especially inside.

I would get running boards unless you plan some off-roading.

but I have never really been a fan of running boards. I was actually happy to see that there were not running boards when I was buying the truck. and I wont be doing very much off-roading other then a few trails in the woods when I need to.

Now I do have an actual question for you all... Is the display suppose to read "check charging system" when the key is at the on position(engine not running)? It goes away after I actually start the engine.

Welcome to this forum! All of the indicator lights turn on before you start it. It shouldn't have any lights on after it starts.

You asked about liners etc - I am a fan of Weather Tech. I have them (full set) in my 07 and they are the best at keeping the crud off your carpet.
