HI I just bought an '03 Ranger

I like it and have had it checked by two mechanics so she's all good. Little things are missing/broken. I can't get the left side mirror to move, I press the button, I hear the motor, but it seems like its stuck or something. Its so annoying when you change lanes, not to mention dangerous!

You can actually push on the mirror itself and move it, on my 92 Explorer, they would move UP and LEFT, but if I needed to move them down or right, I had to just push on them.

I dont mean push on the whole assembly, just the actual "glass" I guess you'd call it

Hi Brian and thanks for the answer, now, I may be Blonde, but c'mon! If it was that easy.......Of course I've 'pushed it'. It seems like its either stuck on something or perhaps, its just the opposite, that it can't 'hold' where I want it???

Haha well im blonde too, so this could get bad : jk haha...
I didnt know if you tried or not, ive done it on all my explorers, (95 on accident, but still moved decently easy) My 92s were like "mushy"

I could goto the carwash and squirt them and they'd move

So, are you suggesting I 'squirt it ' at the car wash? What about WD-40-ing it somewhere?

Haha no, I was just using it as a reference of how easy they were to move on my 92.

You could try using some WD, use the straw and get behind the mirror real good and give it a push.

Or if you have the money, you could get a new set on eBay, or a good pair at a local junkyard, or maybe one of the vendors or part outs on here...

Yes, I know, as a last resort, I've got the junkyard, yuk(if you can't tell already, I'm a GIRL), or the dealer (they just want to sell me a new car). I was just hoping someone had some 'secret' quick-fix or something! Its like one of the main things, and aside from driving me crazy, its downright dangerous! I don't want to just blindly 'squirt' at it with the WD 40. should I take it off?
