4Wheelparts.com has free shipping/handling on most items before friday. So I think i will get the hi-lift jack now and save the s/h. They have a casting/steel jack(strong) $50 and a casting jack(stronger) $70. I would rather buy the cheaper one but should i go with the more expensive? Is there really a difference that i would see. The also say you can use them as a winch/come-a-long type deal to with a tow rope. Is this where it makes a difference?

I don't know the lengths on thoes, but i know CoryL has the cast high lifts in 48" = $55 and the 60" = 65$

I've not used mine for winching yet, but i would NEVER buy the cheaper of that type of stuff. It would be the day that i would need it the most and it would brake. Go the strong, it's just a couple of dollars more.

Happy trails!!

I also went with the strong one. It doesn't cost too much more.

go to hilift.com and ask them about the jacks and weight ratings. They are really helpful.

For the extra few bucks, go with the stronger one, it will last a life time with a little tlc.:)
