Well I'm getting a tire carrier made right now and I'm gonna bolt 2 studs through the bottom bar and slide mine sideways onto it. Then secure it with a couple of big wingnuts.

Chris--mine is kinda like brian's except my mount is the one that is made for inside of a bed of a truck, 4 little ubolts on my rack and it works great. here ya go

Happy trails!!

Chris -

Although I usually mount mine up in my roof rack (a little different than Josh and Brian), I have also secured it at times in the back of my Sport.

With the jack in the vinyl cover, I just cinch down two friction straps on the rear-most "C" hooks (the ones for the net).

There is just enough room for the jack to lay flat along the width of the hatch area. This works in my '91, not sure if it'll work in your late model Sport (especially with your interior tire mount).

I put mine inside the truck just like how Paul described. It fits perfectly and I strap it down with my other gear. My truck is too tall to be mounting something heavy like that on the roof.

I carry my Hi-lift Jack on my spare tire carrier that mounts in my rear tow Hitch.

Normally it sits straight up, but in the pic it's tilted over to allow the rear hatch to open.

I am looking for someone to fab up a custom rear bumper cuz tilting that tire up and down is a pain!!!!!

Hope this helps.

Here is what we did.. I do want to put it on the rear bumper or lift it higher on the front..

What were the size of the ones in the interior of the truck? I know some have 60" and some 48" and so on, If we could know the size as well as the location it would be greatly appriciated.

Mine is a 48", but i've never tried it inside so i have no idea how well it fits.

Happy trails!!

It is the 48" that fits inside across the back.
