HID Conversion or should I say more Brighter Light!!

I was driving down the street the other night and I saw and Xplorer with bright ass purple colorish lights on his headlamps. They looked really really good and bright as $hit. I was wondering if that's hard to upgrade to and is it pricy? My local ricer shop does it for me but their charging me 400 g's. I was like 7uck No. Anyone got something like that and got pictures that I can see. Let me know.

If you're going to do an HID conversion, that sounds about right... if you have someone else do it for you.

It may have been just diamondclears with extra-bright (illegal) "HID-Look" bulbs.

Greddy, i see that we are very alike. After reading your other recent threads about "real" problems with your X, much like i have, i still spend more time, effort and money to make it LOOK much better than it runs...not because i like looks over performance, but it's soooo much easier to do that than fix the hard stuff!

LOL, It figures that we all want to spend more in looks than fixing our mechanical problems. It's fun spending on looks and stuff but I hate spending on mechanical shops. It's no fun, and something that's not going to stand out on my ride, it's not like i can have my hood open to show. LOL

What that shop is probably trying to sell you is a "10000k conversion kit".. = piece o junk.

I am thinking of putting HIDS on my X.

My friend has a 1988 BMW and he is getting the 6000k HIDS on his BMW for 585 bucks.

Eventually I am going to put like a 6000k or 8000k HIDS on my X.

Ask Black Magic cause he has a 2001 Sport like mine and he has 8000k HIDS on his so ask him about them he will tell you about them.

Me I just got dual chamber 2 flowmasters and customized yellow fogs.

8000+ are probably what the bulbs were. You don't get as much light output as 4300k but it seems you're more after the color. I'd buy them on eBay, but don't get anything other than Hella/Philips/Osram ballasts. Everything else is trash.
