hey guys... weather got a little warmer so i figured id take a few picture of how i ran the relay wire and mounted the ballasts.
i ran the relay wires along just on the inside of the hood and secured them with some zip ties.
i mounted the ballast with 4 dabs of liquid nails on each corner and pressed it against the inner side of the fender, one beside the airbox and one beside the battery both roughly in the same spot. If you are wondering way liquid nails...my husband has done it for a number of years. makes the install look a lot cleaner when installing compared to the mounting brackets the kits come with IMO...provide a secure hold without damage and if you ever want to remove the ballast just pull it off...takes a little bit of force but it will come off.
and YES....there is enough room between the ballast and airbox to remove it and replace the filter
