Hidden, Amplified, Antenna for 06 Explorer?!?

I have just purchased the hidden, powered, amplified antenna from crutchfield. I was thinking of placing it either right against the window and the dash or under the dash by the glove compartment (both valid options according to crutchfield). Due to the fact that I need 12 V Power, does anybody have any suggestions to where I should tap into the 12 V Power and where I should ground it?

Just finished, I put it under my glove compartment, and used a screw as a ground and tapped into the 12V by the front cigar lighter. Nonetheless, All the wires are hidden behind the center console and glove compartment, its pretty much invisible and makes the 4th gen look much cleaner without that goofy antenna.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing. What did you do to cap off the old antenna base ?

That would also be a great way to keep an antenna on 2nd Gen Snorkle mods!
