Howdy.
I've been a lurker on & off for a year of so, but finally decided to make it official & come out of the closet today.
My screen name is the same I use on a few other boards & originated from Slick 60's.com, an old truck board.
I live near Salt Lake City, Utah & have been an Exploder owner since 2003. We bought this '91 Eddie Bauer with 177,000 on the clock in great looking & running condition...
...now, with 240,000 miles, it's finally to the point where I've declared it officially worn out. LOL! It still ran good, but leaked coolant from at least two different locations that I can tell, engine oil too (hence the board underneath), the p/s pump & gearbox are both on their last legs & both leak profusely, the ball joints & shocks are terribly worn, etc.
But the tranny still shifts fine.
I've stuffed it in the garage, with intentions of fixing it's alilments as time allows...that was 18 months ago. I've discovered that for being such a physically small engine, that baby is sure packed in there!
So I'll probably be asking some questions.:shifty_ey
Here's a pic of the first time the spare was on the ground (yep, that recall Firestone), in the fall of '06.
