Higest miler?

You mean highest miles with NO INTERNAL engine work needed / done ...correct?
I'll throw my 99 Mountaineer 5.0 in the mix.

Zero internal engine work / original 4R70W tranny!

274,307 miles and going strong...

Connect OBD2 adapter, read mileage calculated from wheel rotation totals, prorate for deviation from stock tire diameter if larger/smaller tires were installed and proportion of mileage for each size.

No figure will be exact, of course. Or at least, there's no absolute standard to compare against. Just trying to get a ballpark accurate total...for things such as taunting your friends about how their newer vehicles don't have a prayer of reaching anything comparable.

(And c'mon, the worm gear is an easy fix!)
when i plugged my obdlink mx+ w forscan in it didnt show me mileage figures... am i missing skmething crucial?

I don't see that

Very strange. Is all other expected data showing?

After replacing the worm gear (~$6 on fleaBay as I recall), the ($5) BT ODB2 adapter showed true mileage in at least thee free Android apps (Torque Light, etc). (~10 years ago, should mention.)

Prorating for larger tires yielded the correction mileage (to be added to the odometer mileage shown). One might be able to fiddle with the number rollers (like in the old days of used car sales fraud) to restore true mileage, but I didn't want to risk breaking anything.

Do note the correction mileage figure can actually be interpreted as a Laziness Index, "LI," a measure of how long it took to get around to fixing a known problem.

One can then use this LI to plan future repairs and maintenance work. Ex. Say it's a hot July, AC fails and donalds' repair is needed. If the worm gear's LI was 2 years/14k miles and the AC repair were same, that would be a lot of sweaty driving. So a new LI might be targeted, say 10 days/10 miles.

PS. Just saw donalds posted he doesn't see mileage either so went out to re-verify with my setup and the adapter now won't connect to the ECU. Arrragh! Taking it by one of the parts stores for a scan. Need short LI on this.
