2003 Ranger XLT
my son got a 2003 ranger xlt. high beams won't work. New MFS, new bulbs, fuses
checked good.
New bulbs are high intensity. they appear to have 2 filaments.
When the high beams switch is engaged, all head lights die.

Help?

Usually it's the headlight switch itself. Might also check the headlamp relay, swap it with the relay from another slot.

What do you mean the bulbs are "high intensity"? If these are some cheapo brand with blue tint to them to look like "HID" lights, or are higher-wattage than stock/aftermarket bulbs, they might just have manufacturing defects or have blown something.

Welcome to EF. I would get a 12 volt test light & check to see if you have power at the bulbs when the high beams are on, if so your bulbs are bad, if not check for power coming out of the multi function switch.
