High idle

Recently in the warmer weather my 92 XLT has developed a high idle after being driven for an extended period of time. only issues i have with it are the heater core and a destroyed exhaust system which is probably killing my gas mileage. Any issues other than those two that will cause a high idle?

First swag would be Vacuum leak and a bad Fuel pressure regulator.

Vacuum leak is more likely.

When the FPR goes bad and it start duping fuel the idle does all kinds of wierd things after driving. When ours was bad it would be high idle one minute, very low idle the next minute but it never thew a code (go figure).
