I noticed today that when I rev up the motor in park maybe about 3000 rpm's or so it gets to a point where it kinda sounds like it is going to die then it comes back then it sounds like it is going to die it kind of pulses in and out or chokes. Any ideas???

My 94 just started the same thing. 3000 rpm, feels like the rpm limiter is kicking in. No codes come up either.

Does it do it while your driving?
Anyone....I have a 2001 x 4.0 v6 SOHC what is the best way to disconnect the fuel pump as I want to run some cleaner thru the fuel rail.

yep, while driving.

I was browsing earlier queries and yours probably is not a problem. Appearantly, Ford has a limiter in their newer models for park and neutral at about 3000 rpm. At least that's what was posted somewhere else.
