My sisters boyfriend once had a hitch put on a 3cyl Firefly....lol, He wondered why the tranny blew later on....

Thats funny, I used to have one of them, well a 3cyl Metro, close enough and would have never dreamed of towing with it

He used it for gardening...he tried pulling dirt up a hill, it simply would not go...My dads '78 courier was pulled in to do the job....

I put a hitch on my 1997 Ford Escort LX Sport...it was an Auto...I towed a trailer (5x8) packed from Detroit to Nashville, TN...then trailered my bike back to MI...did the job fine, I did around 90mph that trip...lol Who says you can not tow with a smaller car!

Whoever bought my car was in for a surprise...I drove the piss out of it...lol Did a Detroit to Tucson trip and through New Mexico I topped the car out for hours at 125-135mph...LOL Boy that was a fun trip. I also shifted it from "L", through the gears to "OD"...hehehe

my neighbor has a newer bmw 540i with a hitch on it

he uses it to cart his bicycle back and forth to where he parks his boat. he has a hitch mount rack that slides in and out real easy

we kind of made fun of him for it but i guess it is better than a roof rack 24-7
