Holy Overheating, Batman!

Is the coolant leval good in the radiator ? or are you looking in the overflow tank ? Make sure it is good in the radiator itself... ( after it cools )

There is only so many things it could be, I doubt it is the new cap and would therefore suggest getting a new thermostate, They are easy to replace and I would NOT take it back to the same garage as last time.

just make sure you don't drive it hot, the repairs to the motor are pricey if you do.

Where exactly is this smoke ( steem ) coming from ? do you have a leak in the heater hose ?

Well actually, I put a bunch of coolant in it yesterday then drove it home and checked the the coolant level was very low. There was nothing in the resevoir tank. SO I put more in (directly into the radiator).

The smoke/steam is coming out of the left side of the housing area of the engine. Picture this...the asterisk is where the smoke is coming from.
