Hi Everyone,
Listen to this one. I was driving Friday night and lost my brakes. Yup, no brakes, pedal to the floor, then I hear a snap. Well after rolling to a stop, I pumped the pedal till I got some brake, and as I was driving all you heard was the lovely sound of metal on metal.
I took the tires of my 94 xlt and sure enough my brake on the right side snapped off. My mechanic previously told me I had 2 oil changes before changing these brakes. Guess What? he was wrong. I changed the pads and noticed that my rotors were shot. So my baby is in the shop for some new rotors, unfortunately I can't get the slotted rotors to him in time.
Helpful noise to remember: If you ever hear a loud whining sound, sort of like a moped acclerating, check your brakes and bearings. Well, figured I would let you guys in on this experience.
