Ever since i got in a wreck with a guard rail a couple years back my horn and cruise control does not work. I recently started trying to fix it. I just put a 15 amp fuse in slot 10 in the power distributor box which is supposed to fix the horn but the fuse blew right away. The light under the cruise control button comes on on the left side but not the right when i cut my lights on. How do i fix these two issues?

I would look for a short circuit down around where the horn is mounted (Assuming that is where you hit the guard rail). The illumination circuit for the buttons is totally separate; most likely bulb on one side is burned out. Good luck.

I hit it on the right side of the vehicle. How do I tell if a circuit is blown?

Check the wire going into the horn. It likely has a bare spot (exposed wire) that rubs the chassis and causes the fuse to blow. That'd be the likely short circuit I imagine bobflood was referring to.

Do i have to take the wheel well cover off to see the horn for the open wire ? If i find that it has a open spot do i just wrap it in electrical tape ?

Does the fuse blow right away, or only when you try to blow the horn??

If it blows right away, remove the horn relay and see if the fuse still blows.

The circuitry is pretty simple. Do you have a multimeter and do you know how to use it? Can you read a wiring diagram?

The horns are mounted behind the wheel well cover at the very front of the vehicle. If that is where the damage is, a visual inspection might be all you need. The wire from the horn relay to the horn is dark blue according to the wiring diagram I see. If that is shorted somewhere, some electrical tape is a good temporary fix. Heat shrink tubing over the broken area is a better solution, but is more work. Good luck.
