Just bought an 07, and horn will not work. I checked the fuse and it was fine. I also assume the keyless entry works the same my other Fords, push buttom once it locks, twice the horn blows. That function does not work either. I'm just trying to get an idea of what might cause it. I have had issues in the fullsize truck with wires getting broken and worn thru, but those usually resulting in shorts that blow the fuse. Or could it just be the horn itself? It is going back to the dealer for this issue and to retrieve keypad code, but I have the itch to just fix it myself.

Could be corrosion in the plug at the horn itself. Especially in Ohio. Usually not on a 07, but its something to check.

As much as I want to find out for myself, the dealer said they would take care of it. I hate the fact I am complaining about a horn, nor do I remember the last time I used one. However everything else is perfect on this Explorer, so why should I be satisfied with a non-functional horn. I do not believe this from corrosion. Even though we are in the rust/snow belt of NE Ohio, this vehicle has a very clean underside and a clean, yet not detailed, engine compartment. My opinion is it has to do with the horn/airbag area of the steering column. When you press the pad it just feels like something is not right. It is suppose to go in sometime this week.
