I was going to work today and went over some bumps pulling into the job site and when I shifted into park my horn started going off and wouldn't stop even after turning off the ignition and removing the key. I pulled the negative battery cable, waited, then put it back on and the problem persisted. I then removed the horn fuse and now it's off and everything else seems to be working fine so I don't know where to start looking for the problem. It may have something to do with my recent attempt at removing the dash. I didn't get the dash completely off, and everything went back together nicely and has been working for a few days, so I don't know if the two are related.... any help would be greatly appreciated, lots of bad drivers where I live, need my horn! :salute:

It sounds like you pinched a wire when you were putting things back on. The only way to find it is to slowly take everything back off on the drivers side starting with the shifter area and working over to the pedal assembly until you find the cut/nicked wire.

im going to start that tonight. some more info is that when I turn the wheel to the left, the horn will go off. when the fuse is pulled it sounds like a button is being pressed or something is being depressed and I assume that is what is causing it to go off. Since this happened I have noticed my cruise control also will quit working from time to time, i have to lift up on the steering wheel to get it to work, and the lights that go to my cruise control buttons and my 4x4 hi/lo and traction control buttons flicker on and off, and stay on even when the car is off. im really hoping I can locate this problem. Im thinking I will have to figure out how to get the dash out to locate the problem which I was unsuccessful at before and still haven't found ANYTHING online on how to remove the dash on a 4th gen. Wish me Luck!!!
