Houstin, we have a problem... starter solenoid

I've been battling a electrical issue recently.. Essentially when I would brake or use the turn signals ocassionally my CEL & battery light would illuminate for a millisecond plus my RPMS would increase by 1000. Well I got home today and figured I look into it since its such a nice day.. First checked the starter solenoid and this is what I found..

My RPMs are increasing by a thousand too. Hmmm.. and it started after washing out the engine compartment.
