We're going to have a friendly meeting in Houston next week. Here are the specifics:

Thursday, March 15th (beware the ides of March!)

That's between Chimney Rock and Fountainview on the South side of Westhimer.

Let's just get together, have some Coneys, and talk trucks!
Please respond if you want to come. If it's more than 10, I'll call James Coney and tell them we're coming.

dammit! i cant go, even though coney is just about my favorite place to get my grub on in houston. can't get out of austin on thursday, my wife is flying back in that night, and i need to meet her plane. i would love to do it on a future weekend if it would be at all possible. why don't we try to make this a semi regular function of the texplorers? the coloradoans have hooters, why don't we do a monthly coney run?

That's an understatement. You missed it, but he smoked that Lincoln Mark VII. It wasn't close.

Yup, that was fun. It was good to see you guys. BTW, I reserved my cabin at the Moab KOA like y'all suggested. The cabin is reserved the nights of May 17, 18, 19, and 20.

As for the race with the Lincoln, I also had one more (large) person in the truck! That was seriously the first time I've smelled burnt rubber inside the truck. Power braking is fun

I'm planning on organizing Houston meets often once I move back to Houston. I was planning on having one in May and about one a month starting in August. Maybe one of those will be a pool party at my house
