i was talking to a local ricer outfitter about aux lights (there are no real off road shops around). he recomended i go with Catz brand, and that they are as good as PIAA and Hella. Well from the priceses, they better be! so how good are they?

I don't think they are as good as PIAA or Hella. But they are pretty good never the less. Hell on my old 91 I had Blazer, walmart brand lights on it and they did good enough.

My buddies pre-runner has Catz on the front of it. He has 1 pair of Catz on it and I have 2 sets Of PIAA 520s with ultra white bulbs in them and hes atleast as bright as me if not just a little brighter.

I have seen these take rocks plus a few hits and still look great. If I ever get away from PIAAs it'll be for Catz.

I have used Catz lights myself and put them on relatives cars. They are every good as PIAA and in some cases better. I have used or installed the MSX, MSC, MSP, CSD & Land Master fog/spot combo. All are high quality although I didnt like the MSP. Am looking oon Ebay for some MSR to take the place of the PIAA 60 fog lights on my Cad. Catz have a better beam pattern.

Catz makes a decent light, but their employees are jerks! LOL One of my personal projects the SEMA show two years ago was to research other light manufacturors... I'd identify myself as a PIAA sponsored driver, and wanted to know how theres compared... Kc and Catz both basically said "well if your PIAA sponsored then why the hell are you bothering us?"
