I see on the input of the fuel filter I squeeze the colored tabs and pull both lines off. But on the output of the fuel filter, how do I remove that metal line on a 2003 without using those special plier looking tools?
Thanks.

There's a metal clip on both ends that just pull up off the line ends. Since you live in the rust belt like me you need to spray compressed air and or PB Blaster inside the connections to dislodge the dirt and debris then use the anodized aluminum fuel filter tool to disconnect the connectors from the lines.

Do I need the 3/8 in your picture, or a 5/16?
Thanks.

You can use both the 5/16 or the 3/8" tools.
