I just got a 2009 Explorer. I have starting to put my lighting in for the FD. I need to get the fog light housing out to install some leds. How do I remove the housing? I can see the 3 black clips that hold it in.
Thanks
Eric

Good question. I need to take my right one out to dry out the condensation inside of it. I have not looked closely at how to do it but I am wondering if there is not an access panel thru the front of the inner fender liner.

Where are you seeing these three black clips?

I crawled under my truck. They are behind the light.

Are you looking up between the inner fender lining and the front bumper cover? Is there any space there? Have you looked to see if there is an access panel in the front of the fender liner?

Try using a 1/4" drive deep socket. Something like 1/2" or 12mm in size on an extension or spinner handle. That's what i used to depress the 3 clips at the same time on each stud.

Still trying to get a picture as to whether the fog light assy comes out thru the fender liner or down between the fender liner and the front bumper cover???
