How do I install Camshaft position sensor - V8 X

I need to install a new Camshaft position sensor. Besides making sure the wiring harness points straight...... What do I need the alignment tool for? Does it have to do with aligning the internals up to? DO I need to measure voltage?

Yeah your gonna need a tool sorta like this one for the 3.0+4.0. The dealer is the only one I know of right off hand but someone may have one you could borrow on here it would be great...I beleive they get like $90 for them new Later Doug904.

IS it possible to align without using the tool. According to the manual, the 4.0L tool is the same one as the 5.0L tool. (in looks)
