I'm looking into replacing my timing chains in my 02 limited with a 4.6. It has 139k on it now with no current problems but just feel it's time to replace the chains. Found a Cloyes brand set but need to verify I have a windsor engine first. Is there any way to confirm this prior to tearing it apart? Water pump to be changed as wel.

Your 4.6 is in the "modular" family unless you're asking if it was made in Windsor Cananda? I couldn't tell ya that

Just looking to know if its windsor or romeo as the chain and or guides are specific for the eng. I do know its an aluminum block and heads. How can it be identified?

You are doing this for preventative maintenance? I have not ever heard of chains failing. Just my 2 cents, but I would replace the guides and tensioners, but leave the chains alone.

Your engine is of the Romeo design with Romeo heads.

Thanks for the responses. Going by VIN will have to call it a Romeo
