Just pull it down, start with pulling it down near the windshield. It's held on by clips.

there are two screws that you need to remove. you will see them when you open the the little door for the garage door opener (if you dont have a sunroof), then you can pull it down like 1998Explodasport said.also, if your display is out, you might want to check out this write up
