How do I remove thse compartment clips without breaking them?

Trying to remove this compartment in the rear:

But I don't understand how or into what these little square clips below snap in. I've already broken a couple and I'd like to not destroy the rest. Any help appreciated.

You have to remove the whole panel. (at least enough to get to the backside.)
There are little plastic clips that stick into the rectangular holes and hold it in place.

Thanks. Glen got to me on Facebook and let me know as well. Was able to pop the entire panel out with little problem (thank yoou cheap push-pins) to gain access for my little project.
