How do I replace my interior light bulbs?

hi im new to here so go easy lol,,, ive just got my first explorer and know nothing about them always had bmw ,,, theres no interior lights working in it at all ,door lights and the ones on the roof ,, ive noticed the bulbs arnt fitted to the courtesy lights near rear view mirror but have the bulbs but there is a like a black shroud stopping me fitting them in ,do you have to remove the black part for the bulb to be fitted ,as i say havnt a clue about these vehicles any help would be very appreciated thanks ..

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the lighting section. Each cover is designed to be popped off. Be careful lifting them off.
