I have just bought some spotlights and fitted them onto my bull bar ok but am at a loss on the wiring.

The lights have a side light and full beem bulbs with three wires coming out of them. Two of the wires have bullet connectors and one just has bare wire.. I would like to connect them without using another switch so when i turn my sidelights on the sidelight on the spot lights come on and when i use the flash/full beem they light up for that also...

How easy would this be and what wires do i need to cut into to do this.... I know its a bit dim to ask but i can wire cd changes and head units without no problem but i'm very unsure which wires i need to splice into under the bonnet for this..

Thanks in advance

sounds more like you have motorbike headlights there

Just fitted mine, but they were easy as they are regular spotlights, I just wired them into the existing lights in the bumper :D

i have worked out which cable is for which bulb. I have one earth for both the bulbs and two seperate power leads one for the side light one for the spot light. If i splice the side light into the side light wire and then splice the earth and the spot light wire into the existing bumper spotlights would that work ok? they are 100w off road spots so do i need to up the fuse in the fuse box or anything like that or will it be ok? and will that earth be ok or shall i just connect the cable to the bat\body?

Thanks again

Phil
