How do you like your Explorer so far?

To turn on the a/c on the driver’s seat in the Explorer you have to: 1. Touch the blue bar, 2. Touch the driver’s a/c control window to “augment it,” 3. Touch the a/c control window again to “active it,” 4. Touch the seat a/c button to start the seat a/c, 5. Touch the seat a/c button to turn it down to medium, 6. Touch the button again to turn it down to low. SIX STEPS and that is if every touch takes; most of the time you have to press everything twice and three times with MFT.Overall

You can configure your home screen to immediately display the seat A/C heat buttons upon start up.

No need to go through several levels of menus. Pretty straight forward.

Here is an example of it in action.

Here is an image of what the screen can look like when you start the vehicle.

After starting the vehicle, the Heated and A/C seats are readily available with just one push.

Does FordOwner.com keep track of the vehicle service history? Or is it just a rewards program? I use Toyota Owner for my Camry and it is nice as it sends me an email when I have service that is due. It also lists everything the dealership has done on my car for an easy maintenance history, plus they also offer coupons.

If FordOwner.com does the same thing it will make it easier for my step dad to keep track of the service schedule as he is one of those people that forgets about oil changes.
Yes it does! Service performed at Ford, Lincoln or Mercury dealerships sharing records FordOwner.com display in the “My Garage” page. For his convenience, he can also schedule a service appointment right from site! He would just hit the “Schedule service” button (also located in the “My Garage” page) and follow the steps to locate a dealer near you to begin scheduling service!

jimbest, I’m sorry to hear your experience so far has not met your expectations, and I would like to offer my assistance. If you send me your VIN, dealer name, and approximate mileage, I will do my best to assist.

Overall loving my 2013 XLT

Pro's:
Handling is great
Very quiet and comfortable. The sound screen windshield seems to help with noise
Sync/My Touch is packed with features but has it's days when it's slow to respond

Cons:

Sync/My Touch is slow, freezes at times
Headlights brightness is lower than expected (once fogs are on it's ok)
Front windows seem to jump when rolling down. Will try RainX
Rear camera seems to get wet from rain easily and the water stays on the lens. Placement of the camera should be someplace else (under overhang, etc).

Excellent product compared to the current competition.

Fit and finish on mine is second to none.

MFT needs to be sorted out ASAP to instil customer confidence.

How many owners with the Powerfold 3rd row seats feel that the switch pack that controls them from the rear tailgate area should be backlit?

When its dark, the interior lighting doesn't allow you to see the button labelling.

Or am I missing something?

There is a lack of lighting in the entire tailgate area.:salute:
