I'm thinking about getting a 1,000 watt Kenwood amp, but it's not an Excelon. Here is the link to it:

I'm going to be using this to power two 12 inch Kicker subs, will I get some deep, clear sounding bass with this amp?

I have a kac-849 pushing my highs and have no problems with. Its for sale btw if youre interested.

I have the same exact one, I have it pushing two 12" perfect's and it works just fine...If you can find a deal on a bigger one, you might want to take that...That one only puts out 230x2...

So are you saying that the kac-849 is better than the one I linked up there?

OR

Should I go for this nice Alpine V12:

Whichever you wanna do...Looks like either would work really...

I always wondered which of the two amps was better, I really dont know. As for the v12, Ive heard nothing but good things about those amps.

I do not know if you got a amp yet but I would stay away from that V12 amp. We carry both at work. The problem with the Alpine is the sub channel is only a single channel and is only able to handle a 4 Ohm load. When you load that channel below 4 Ohms they have a tendency to burn out. The Kenwood is a better choice for running subs.
