could you clarify a little for me? are you asking about a front end solid axle conversion or do you want to swith out your rear axle for another solid axle? also are you asking about the front on a ttb or a solid axle?

no on the back someone told me you could put the axel under the leaf springs to give it a lift. and in the front i have a solid axel i was thinkin like some spring spacers

i get it now. you are talking about a spring over axle (SOA) conversion. that will net you about 4-5 inches of lift. there is an easy superlift kit that will do this but it does it in a ghetto way. it works but if you really want to do it correctly you must cut of the spring perches and get new one welded on top of the axle. custom fabrication isnt cheap......

on the front, do you have a solid axle with coils or leaf springs? what kind of vehicle is this, as explorers have a ttb with coils and were never offered with a solid axle

i have a 93 explorer sport i have coil springs in the front. i was wondering if coil spacers would work but i dont think they will even it out with the back i was also looking at those warrior shackles, but those were only about 2 inches of lift , which shuold i do?

depend on how big a lift and tire you want. i am putting on the f150 coil spacers and warrior shackles. that should give me just enough lift to clear 31x10.5x15s without a problem. also if you have a stock explorer with coils i am positive you dont have a solid axle but rather a ford ttb like all the explorers. you can get spring/coil lifts for the front if you want more but then it will become more involved like needing drop down brackets and so on. lifting the back end is pretty easy though.

yeah, i am getting 31x10.5 pretty soon and i dont think theyy will fit without a lift. i think i might do th shackles and space out the coils in the front.

Slow down there with the solid axle stuff. That's a TON of custom work that few have done. If you're starting off with a stock 1993 Explorer and wish to run 31's there's a simple way to do it......test fit them. Often they'll fit with little rubbing. If you still wish to gain some more room then you'll need a small lift. The warrior shackles and coil spacers are just fine for that size of a lift. If you use the superlift kit(which is a good kit) and put the springs on top of the axle then you're looking for some big meats. This setup is often used to run 33' tires no problem with a few drop brackets and such in the front.

In your case go with what you were thinking about.....warrior shackles and coil spacers. Runs them with no problem.

I'd also like to take this minute to welcome you to the site. You'll find everything you need all right here.
