Did you take any pics of the sludge you found?

Oh and I got the oil pressure back had a ton of slug in the motor so I spent all day cleaning that thing out and so far it seems to be running good with no sounds but I'm starting to think my theremostat is going out but oh well easy fix.

When I bought my X the oil pump was dead, the fuel pump was dead, and the engine had not run in over 2 years...I dropped my oil pan to change the oil pump and found this...

Did you change the oil pump too? Did you pull the valve covers as well? The amount of sludge inside the valve covers was unreal... It was sooo bad that I had a rocker arm stick in the down position and the damn pushrod fell out of the socket to the side of the rocker resulting in a dead miss...

No I didnt change anything all I did was a motor flush I really didnt think about checking all that other stuff....guess I should do that.....But then again the guy I bought it from drove it everyday he just didnt seem to take very good care of it. I'm think I should just go ahead and do a full tune up on it.
