how many Cat's?

i was looking at my 91 xplorer and it has the 4.0 with both exhaust manifolds going into one pipe and then 2 CAT's.

is this right?

Is it two cats or one cat and one resonator?
Just looking for clarification since I was always led to believe that on a Gen 1 Ex, we had one of each.

on the x the resonator would be after the muffler. it's 2 cats. technically one is a preheater and the second is the real cat, but both are basically the same.
