After some failed searches and research I have decided to ask, I apologize if its been covered before.

How many cats on the Sport? I thought it was 3 but couldn't find confirmation.

If it's 3 has anyone deleted the 3rd and still passed emissions?

Thanks!

Anyone want to break the tie?

When checking out 'Catalytic Convertor' on Fordparts.com, it shows the exhaust system and only 2 catalytic convertors. It doesn't show or list a 3rd one.

The third is in the catback behind the flange. I cut mine out.

Vtech, do you have to pass emissions there?

Have you been since you removed it?

So, if it's not listed as a third cat what's its purpose? I'm thinking of removing the "third cat" and resonator and replacing with x-pipe. Thoughts?
