How much Diff fluid?

Hey guys,
In a 1993, how much Diff fluid is needed? I thought it was 5.3 qts, but the more I think about it, I think it is really 5.3 pints. I changed mine (Gilligan went for a swim... ) and tried to add 5 quarts- I only got about 3.5 in there (7 pints). Did I have a brain fart?

Yes you had a brain fart! I just did mine last night after my axle swap and it only held 3.5 quarts. So you are okay.

I guess I should drain a few ounces and top off with LS additive as I know I don't have enough...

P.S. that could be pints, I wasn't doing it the guy just said "it took 5" (the reciept says 5.0#)
