at least thats what my dad said and he's crazy over rusty and nascar. he even gets that nascar in-car every season that makes it look like your driving along with your driver. it is pretty cool.
Do you have a HD harness and are not happy with it or are you just blowing off about it being a waste of money? Have you ever seen the results of having one?
i dont have one and never have; nor am i "blowing off about it." it is my opinion that it would be a waste of money. i have never seen the results of having one, and quite frankly im just not interested. the only reason i expressed my opinion is because i hate to see people spend a lot of time and money on something and when its finally done, theyre very disappointed with the results; most of us around here know that awful feeling, including myself, and id to see another guy disappointed.
maybe the wiring harness was worth it for you, al, but for the other 99% of us, its just not.
i was just looking to get rid of that hideous yellow look. i thought about going with something blue, but after i heard they have less output than regular halogens and are basically just for looks well i bailed on that idea. the stars give me a bright white look and better output than reg. halogens and thats good enough for me. thanks for the help guys
Well I just put a set of the siverstars in, and to be honest, im not terribly impressed. Yes, there is some improvement over stock, and a major improvement over the "cool blue" bulbs I had before...Im just trying to figure out if it is a $40-$50 improvement...I think in the next X I will spring for the HID kit
I'm with variking, I replaced some Sylviania (sp?) bulbs in there that had a red o-ring seal with silverstars (blue o-ring). Really not brighter. Mabey I need a harness, mabey not. IMHO not worth it.
for us guys with 91-94's it really doesnt get much better without going to higher wattage bulb (which pretty requires a heavy duty wire harness too). if you look on the Silverstar instructions, the 9004's throw out the lowest Lumens when compared to the other bulbs. Dunno if anyone else noticed that too.
as far as i know they dont make H1 or H3 bulbs yet....probably never will........the only thing you can do is buy a set of 9005 bulbs, you have to cut a notch in it to make it fit the stock fog light
