It is advised that a Section 609 of EPA Standards mechanic be the only one to perform anything with that type of system [r12] as well as r134a due to its effects on the environment... what do you need to know the capacity for? also for freon, i would consider just doing a swap out to r134a as freon [r12] is becoming more rare and more expensive.... i assume that the system would use that much freon.... i am almost positive a completely dry system uses less than 5 punds....
