I no longer have a house or tools to attempt myself. Realistically, how much am I looking at for a shop that charges say $95-$110/hour to replace the oil pan gasket?
And what gasket should be used? Also since they have to lift the engine should I also go ahead to replace the mounts? My engine shakes like a roller coaster.

Thanks

Any reputable shop is not going remount your engine on bad motor mounts. Consider them as part of the job.

Probably 5 hrs labor + parts, So about $650 - $800

Add 30% to that for broken exhaust Y-pipe bolts, various nuts and bolts.

If your front crank seal and rear main are also leaking the shop may refuse to do the work unless you also do those. Or they may take your money and you still have a leaky mess.

Best bet: just keep pouring oil in the top and steam clean more often.

My hoa is fining me for the oil leak. I don't drive it much so they noticed. I've been looking at a newer truck but everything is just beat around me. Higher miles & worst shape. sucks. The shop I know that would be doing the work. They are honest.

Put a drip pan and an absorbent pad under it. And get the heck out of the HOA!

What FR says^^. You could also duct tape a disposable diaper to the engine bottom, if it's sitting there for long periods, and you don't want or can't have a drip tray on the driveway.

HOA's attract every tin pot dictator/nosey busybody known to man. Either get on the Board or get out. The News and Youtube are littered with horror stories including barricades preventing homeowners from using their parking to HOA's taking houses, evicting the renters, and renting it themselves.

This hoa is actually pretty good. I did sign the rules page though. And it did say about cars leaking fluids.....
Back to the topic.....Can't put anything under the truck. I did try to tape something to the oil pan, but after rain & the FL humidity it didn't hold up well. PITA to keep taping something on as well.
I'm going to bring it by the shop Saturday & see what they say. I've tried all normal "fixes" it did stop for a time.

If you are having the engine pulled to replace the oil pan, have them replace the rear main seal. They seem to leak from the factory and its a quick job with the engine away from the transmission.

X2 on the rear main seal if the engine needs to be pulled anyway. I had it done by a local shop - that does excellent quality work and charges accordingly - about 3 years ago and the total was around $1200. I initially thought it was just the pan gasket. The rear main leak was so bad that nobody would stay close behind very long - guess they didn't like the oil coating their windshield...

I may as well replace the clutch too damn.....

Update...$2200 would be the cost. 3 leaks. Rear main, crankshaft seal, & pan gasket. Plus the cost of a clutch(since I'm in there) & motor mounts. :(
