Two more reasons I change my own oil:
1) I can let it sit there draining a lot longer than oil change places usually do assuring the old oil is more throughly removed.
2) I have had two drain plugs cross threaded at quick change places. This is most probably due to the cheap inexperienced workers they hire. They can't even screw the drain plug back in properly without fubaring it to the point of needing a new oil pan.
If you want something done right do it youself.
