its been 25k miles since i changed the rA bushing in my 93xlt. Now i hear the dreaded thump again.

how many miles do you get on a set of bushings???

Do you have rubber bushings or polyurethane ones? The rubber ones don't last as long, especially the passenger side one that's next to the exhaust pipe. A poly bushing should last more than 25,000 miles though. A rubber one should too.

I put bushings on my 91 about 60,000 miles ago and they are still there but getting ready to be replaced. I used the poly bushings. I would recomend buying the porcelin insulation caps from Ford. Like Browning said, the passenger side is always going to be the side that goes first becasue of the exhaust. The bushing I have now are the Energy( spelling?) brand polyurethane.
