How often do you Floor Your Ex

when its new and very low mileage no problems. But after owning several 'clunkers' with high mileage things have a tendency to break or snap at high RPM's. Once they get over 100k or so on them, i'll floor it only when necessary imo. Its kinda of like asking grandpa to run the 440yrd dash, some can pull it off but most might have a heart attack. . .lol.

I won't hesitate to floor mine. I'll do it maybe ever other tank full at most. I was going up a mountain in inclement weather in Colorado last month with five adults in the truck with the trunk loaded with gear at about 10,000ft elevation and I had the throttle about 90% open just to maintain 65mph up the mountain on a steep run for several minutes. The engine never gave us any problems though.

I was playing on some hills in the snow back behind my buddy's farm and had to floor her.

Poor old girl is a little tired w/172,000 on the OHV and trying to push 31s with the 3.27 gears (I know, . I'm working on remedying that).

Anyway, 5 people in the Ex trying to take a hill and the first go we rolled back down cause I couldn't make it. Had to drop it to 2nd and put her to the floor to get up over. Got a little air on the front end but even floored I only brought her to about 1,800. Grabbed third after I crested cause I couldn't bear to take her past 3 grand.

Just floored the 01 from a stop, and for the first time since I had my 03, I was thrown back into my seat. Made my day.

i can only floor mine about 4 times a week. after my '02 got totaled my dad put one of those trackers people put in buisness trucks to make sure the employees aren't driving erradically; so if i whomp on it a few times at lunch i hear about it later that day.

honestly i wouldn't be scared to... But since the car is my grandmas, when I do get to drive it maybe once or twice a month (max), I put the pedal to the metal and let her breathe. haha.

Full weight with muffler/2.5" exhaust(otherwise all stock), I ran a 15.9 in the 1/4.(no spare/jack) Also, I have 3.73's and 4x4.

After tune and efan, I then ran a 15.421 in the 1/4 (full weight). Later I put on 20's, all seats removed(minus drivers), swaybar and FR driveshaft removed and ran the same 15.421.

In that vid which was last fall(11-20-10), I ran a 15.14 with only mods being the tune and exhaust, 2nd/3rd row seat gone, on 20's. So I had more weight, no efan and ran faster

If I can scrape up some extra cash, I would like to do a CAI, put the efan back on, UDP's and get the tune worked with a bit. I'd like to run a 14.8 and get the #1 spot on 1/4 mile list.

Lol I have the same feeling at times. Although I don't know of anyone else from the forums that live in Queens.
