Clean it at the same interval as you would replace the air filter

how often is that i put the kkm intake on with 20000km on my truck and still had the same stock air filter how often do you recommened thanks

I clean my filter at the same time as my oil changes. 5k miles or about 2x a year.

The simple answer is to clean it whenever its dirty.

Just be careful not to over-oil it when you do clean it. Better yet, score an Dead Link Removed and never have to worry about oiling a filter ever again.

Sage advice.

I'm ordering one of these today... I don't like the idea of oil causing an expensive repair. All I need is the part number from the K&N filter I have and cross reference with the AMSOIL product number? (I asked a gentleman at a local Kragen if he could help me out with this... He called me "foolish." I told him I was concerned about doing the cleaning myself because NO shop wants to touch it... He said K&N was all I needed. "That's why they're so darn expensive!" I just walked out...) Thanks for posting the link!

Edit: I don't see a part number on the filter.

Easiest way to cross reference is to pull out a tape measure and get the one closest to your existing filter. That's all I did. They've got full dimensions on the Amsoil site and go from there. Start with the internal diameter ("ID") of the flange which limits which filters you can choose from. I found something "close" to the one that came with my Volant kit and it works great.

Excellent! Thank you, will do...

i dont understand what is different from the filter that came on my kkm intake and that one your talking about.

nevermind figured it out this one dosent need oil does anybody know the size of the filter so i can replace with the Amsoil Ea filter

As above, pull out a tape measure and find the closest one to the one you're using now. Amsoil lists Dead Link Removed of all their filters on the Dead Link Removed.
