how to '02 rear spring rep.

Have a broken spring on right rear of 2002 Explorer 4wd XLS. What's involved for me to rep.it. Is it much of a job? Thanks for your help! Larry

My recommendtaion would be to buy the Monroe Quick Struts. It si a pre-assembled new strut and new spring. All that is involved is removing and installing the strut assembly. Espically if the struts original.

To answer your question, no it's not a big job. Getting a replacement assy will make it much easier though. Having an Impact will surely make the job even easier. You should replace both at this time BTW. And now for a comment... it's BS that the springs on these break in the firast place. My '94 and every other vehicle I've owned have no issues with broken coil springs.
