How to Disable Door Ajar Sensor

Hi everyone, I am trying to find out how to unhook my rear door ajar sensors. My hatch must have a bad sensor, I have used tons of wd-40 but then it rains or I wash the truck and bam it's back on again. I would love it if any of you had any info or a picture showing how. Thanks guyz n gals..

i just spray degreaser on it and usually that will fix it. yeah it will come back every few months from dirtand stuff but hey degreaser is cheap

No one else? Spray has stopped working for me. Help me out it will not go off and my alarm does not function then and interior lights stay on too....help lol

I haven't the slightest clue how a sensor like that would work, but it seems like it would be simple to bypass....

My door ajar liht is on, I used degreaser and it didn't work, so I pulled fuse #27 but now the interior lights and windows don't work. It was a quick fix to get the light off inside. But I would love to find out how to disconnect the sensor.

Unplug it. Then it wll always think the door is closed.

Nope had to replace it for $20 from Ebay.

2002 ford explorer, my car door alarm will not shut off. ya ya i know spray wd 40 big deal that doesnt fix it. i dont car if the door thing works i just want the car to "think" the door is closed all the time, i located the sensor and there are 3 wires, red black and green, im pretty sure i can ground one of the or combine them in a way to make it "think" the door is always closed.

Do you guys know how to disable the seatbelt chime? I do allot of hop in hop out work so for that I won't even bother to put my seat belt on any help would be nice.

for the seatbelt my ex`s owners manual has instructions on how to make it not chime, now it just puts on the light for 30 seconds

Cut the wires loos from the plug twist them together and ground them . That is what I did on my 2002 explorer
