Need to disable Door Ajar Alarm

Hi Everyone,
I am not a mechanic by any means. My mother had to replace the door on her 1996 Ford Explorer. She got a junkyard guy to find a door from a similar make/model (not sure what exactly). Unfortunately, the door sensor doesn't realize the door is shut, and it beeps constantly.

Does anyone know how I can unplug the sensor? Where is it located? What manual would help me answer this?

I would imagine that the interior lights stay on also? There is a removable switch in the door latch assembly that likely needs to be replaced. Search and you will find many threads on these switches. Good luck.
