Ok, on my 98 SOHC engine, I got the upper section of the air filter box off. Also the air filter is out. How do I get the lower part of the box off? I do not see any visible schrews. It feels like it should just pop out but I do not want it to brake.

Thanks for the help.

Just tug on it, its stiff, but will come with sufficient persuasion.

Good luck ....

It "just" pulls out. It takes quite a bit of force to get it though. there are 2 grommets on the passenger side fender, and 2 more on the bottom holding it in place.

Thanks to both of you guys. Yea, I saw both of those on the side but I wasn't sure of they would brake or not.

Pull it sideways first so the gromments on the fender pull out, then pull up, if you're afraid you'll break it you'll never get it out.
If you do end up breaking it I've got one you can have if you pay shipping.

In the highly unlikely event of breaking it, be thankful, you now have an excuse to get a good intake :)

Yup, I used a pry bar with good results. Have fun!!

I pulled as a hard as I could and still couldn't get it to budge. I even used a broom stick against the side of it for leverage. It looked as if it where about to snap. I didn't try a pry bar though. Maybe I'll do that tomarrow.

I had to break mine to get it out.

Alright officially give up. Tried with a crow bar and actually began to bend the frame where the hood sits.
