I have just completed making my custom light display box. I want to know how I would hook the speaker wires into the box to make it blink to the music. I have an old desk lamp light fixture and the 2 power lines come in from the wall and one goes to the switch and one goes to the light display. The other end of the switch goes into the light fixture. I don't want to fry my raido if I do it wrong. Help please

uhm...... is the light 12v? or did it plug into the wall? if it plugged into the wall then you're outta luck. If it happens to be 12v, you could try hooking it up to a relay... I dont think that would work tho. I think you have to buy lights that have a sensor in them to blink to the sound.

x2 on the Uhm....? Why are you using speaker wires for it anyways, those are meant for speakers not lights?

DO NOT HOOK UP THE POWER SOURCE FROM NEONS TO SPEAKER WIRES. It fill fry the sh*t out of everything. Buy a streetglow music interface. search here or on www.streetglow.com for wiring to a music interface. And if its 120v then you need an inverter.

No I don't want it in my truck I have it in my room. I do have it pluged into the wall and I want a way to get it to blink to the music. I tought I would need to have a way that it knows what to blink to. I thought the output from my stero would be able to go into the light display.
